Knit Night: Entrelac and Embroidery Hoops

Happy day before Thanksgiving! Are you looking forward to the turkey? I definitely am. And the mashed potatoes. Actually the potatoes are my favorite part.

But on to the knitting. I finally started my Entrelac scarf last Thursday. I haven’t made much progress, but I’m having so much fun learning a new knitting pattern and watching it come out – it really does look exactly like woven fabric… I’m wondering if it can be done in the round, because I would love to make an Entrelac hat! Anyway right now it looks like this:

I am using the four colors I showed you last week in blocks. I’m going to go from dark to light to give it an ombre look. I was going to do lots of different sized stripes, but I decided I didn’t want to weave in that many ends. I’m feeling lazy. I think a color gradient will look really neat though.

I also have been working on a few new things for my etsy shop that I thought I would give you a sneak peek of – I won’t actually be posting them until next week, after the holiday, but I’m pretty geeked about them – they are definitely something new and different, and I wanted all of you to have a first look!

I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving! xx
